Tools used by the participants of the seminar on November 7, 2007
Please, share what you did with us - whether it is a movie made by dvolver.com, or a blog, or a lesson plan - everything is appreciated! The more you share, the more you get back - that's the law. The truth is - the more evidence we have that this seminar was useful, the more chances there are that we will have more of those.

Vera Bobkova. November 19, 2007. Today I used the library of educational websites www.thinkquest.org to teach 7-graders about the Golden Ring of Russia. We went to http://library.thinkquest.org/C006006F/ and the task was to find cities that a) were founded by Juri Dolgoruki b) have a lion on their emblem and so on. That was reading for specific information, but some questions were tricky so the students had to use a search function of a browser. My two major objectives were to make kids remember the names of the cities and to show them two searching functions that is to use a Search engine of the website, and a search function of a browser. It worked. The students were excited and involved in the process.
